OnlineThe next Energy Reinvented Community event is getting closer. Hosted by TenneT, the event will be staged at its Headquarters in Arnhem, and can be attended online. This event is the last of a series of three events under the banner of the overall ERC theme for 2021: BEYOND BORDERS. During the year we seek out opportunities, spark ideas and discuss initiatives and solutions that help us to think beyond borders, which is key to accelerating the energy transition together.

NBC CONGRESCENTRUM Blokhoeve 1, NieuwegeinPursuing our 2022 theme CONNECT TO ACT, we have arranged for an inspiring program around one of the biggest challenges of the energy transition: the industrial transformation. Titled DE- OR RECARBONISATION OF THE INDUSTRY, the event addresses the urgency for industry to significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions, whilst at the same time finding alternatives for fossil based feedstock. The energy transition for industry is closely related to the industrial transformation that needs to take place as well.

ERC – HEAT TRANSITION – SCALE TO THE PEOPLE

We all feel the need to structurally focus on building a sustainable energy system to deal with the heartfelt challenges of today: geopolitical security of supply, energy poverty, capacity issues due to electrification, and the need for demand response management for us to change our behavior and reduce our energy consumption. This will be at the center of our first event in 2023: ‘Heat Transition - Scale to the people’.

As Europe is committed to become climate neutral by 2050, challenges relating to the availability and affordability of green energy, as well as creating and operating a stable and reliable energy system are mounting and reach beyond national and geographical borders. Cross border cooperation and solutions are required to safeguard the security of supply of affordable clean energy. The North Sea will be the powerhouse for renewable energy for Northwest Europe by generating renewable resources and connecting energy markets.
Climate Neutral Real Estate – Gulf Region Programme Launch @ COP28
Dubai Al Wasl Avenue - Sustainability Entrance, Expo City, United Arab EmiratesCOP28 will be the regional launch for the programme Climate Neutral Real Estate (CNRE) in the Gulf Region. CNRE Gulf Region is committed to establishing leadership for achieving net zero buildings in desert climates, by producing workable action plans, exchanging knowledge, sharing best practices, showcasing successful implementations, fostering partnerships and achieving commitment for monitoring progress towards the aim of reaching climate neutrality. The launch of this programme will create a solid momentum involving leading developers and different end-users to create progress.
