It is with great pleasure that we invite you to join our program on 16 and 17 June. Hosted by SIEMENS ENERGY, co-hosted by DOW and supported by SMART DELTA RESOURCES (SDR), for this occasion we open our doors in Hoek, near Terneuzen in Zeeland.
In this energy region, cross border collaboration and cross sector thinking to enable infrastructure beyond boundaries is common practice, offering us an excellent opportunity to pursue our 2022 theme CONNECT TO ACT. CONNECT TO ACT:

OPTIMALISATION INFRASTRUCTURE

The industry clusters in Europe work within highly integrated and complex supply chains, with energy carriers or feedstocks produced in one country, transported though pipelines, via rail, road and ports to others, to be processed and shipped again, before ending up in final products. To create a sustainable energy system, besides embedding new feedstock into the complex supply chains, new and integrated infrastructure is essential. Cross sector thinking and new ways of cooperation, along the length of the total value chain, will enable European industry clusters to transform itself and to capture opportunities in a highly integrated way. Zeeland is an exemplary region where thinking is bigger than just the Netherlands. Here, current and future projects build necessary energy infrastructure connecting this region with the Port of Rotterdam, the industrial areas of Antwerp and Gent, Chemelot Geleen and into Germany, and connecting them into an integrated cross border energy system. And let’s not forget Zeeland’s position in developing an integrated offshore sustainable energy system on the North Sea.At this event, industry, policy makers and advisors will present their views on how the industrial transformation should take place in the upcoming years. We will hear about initiatives for new integrated infrastructure such as offshore wind, maritime, harbors, tanks terminals, the electrical grid, pipelines with multiple purposes such as (industrial) heat, gas & hydrogen, CO2 and even syngas to feedstock and synthetic green fuels ( e-fuels). And we will discuss how new, green industrial activities, such as green hydrogen, green chemicals, synthetic fuel and steel production can be attracted to the industrial clusters in the EU in general and in Belgium and the Netherlands in particular.Register for this event!

Your ticket is personal and not transferable, and valid for the full event on 16 June, including all catering mentioned in the program. 17 JUNE 2022: INFRASTRUCTURE OPTIMALISATION ON TOUR
In Zeeland the transition is more then theory, this region they “Walk the Talk”. The unique combination and collaboration of industries such as energy, renewables, steel, chemical, hydrogen, bio, agri-food and the involved harbors make the region special in the EU. Companies located in this area will transition into a new, emission-free reality.
On 17 June, 08:30 – 13:30 you will have the opportunity to see this European region in transition. In collaboration with Dow, SMART DELTA RESOURCES and North Sea Port we organize a program to show you how companies and projects in Zeeland shape the transition. Now you have a chance to explore this yourself.
