Fact-finding mission to the Gulf Region
Theme: Sustainable energy and energy savings in the built environment
Location: United Arab Emirates, 26th – 29th September 2022
The aim of the trade mission is to explore the possibilities for sustainable energy and energy savings in the built environment and/or through solar energy, with direct added value for the participating companies.
Programme
Tuesday 27th of September
- Visiting WETEX and Dubai Solar Show, show opens 10:00 – 18:00 h
Matchmaking, meetings and stand visits to local stakeholders such as Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, Etihad ESCO, Etihad Water & Electricity (National level), ACWA Power (Saudi Arabia)
- Evening reception 19:00 -21:00 h on former cruise liner Queen Elizabeth 2
Wednesday 28th of September
- 08:00 h transport leaves for field visit
- 09:30-11:30 h Field visit to Aldar, a major Real Estate company in Abu Dhabi
- Lunch in Abu Dhabi
- Transport back to Dubai
- 14:30 – 17:00 h Networking session
Organized together with Emirates Green Buildings Council. Invited: retrofitting companies (ESCOs), built environment and horticulture companies with a presentation from private sector representative such as Kanoo or al Futtaim group.
- 19:00 trade mission closing at Al Fanar restaurant, Al Barsha
Costs
There are no costs connected to this mission, except the travel and stay costs.
