We actively protect our members’ interests nationally and internationally, provide services to individual member companies and clusters of member companies, and support 45 trade associations.

Established nearly half a century ago, the association IRO is an independent non-profit organisation that supports and promotes the interests of its nearly 425 member companies.

Acting as the gateway to Dutch suppliers in the energy industry, the IRO mission is ultimately aimed at maintaining and strengthening the position of the Dutch Oil, Gas and Offshore Renewable industry by creating a level playing field for its members. A sharp focus on cost efficiency, innovation and sustainability within the Dutch supply industry are instrumental to achieve this goal.

The IRO members consist of a wide variety of both multinationals and SMEs. They represent the entire supply chain within the Oil, Gas and Offshore Renewable industry, with activities covering: Engineering & Consultancy, Construction & Fabrication, Plant & Equipment Supply, Contracting & Installation, Exploration & Production and Personnel & HSE, both for offshore upstream oil & gas and offshore renewables (wind and marine energy).
