On April 18th, a workshop was conducted between the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) Group and selected technologies of Dutch Energy Solutions, as part of the ongoing gas technology program.

The workshop was opened by Mr. Bakheet Al Ameri, ADNOC Corporate HSE Division Manager, and His Excellency Frank Mollen, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the UAE.

The Dutch companies DNV-GL, Shell, eVision, Hak Industries, Tebodin, Royal Haskoning DHV, New Cosmos-BIE and Van Oord, Fugro and NCK Gulf  were present to exchange knowledge, best practices and innovative solutions to meet the objectives of the UN Convention of Climate Change (COP21) on the reduction of greenhouse gases.

Furthermore, a wide range of other topics was discussed in the field of enhancing Occupational Health & Safety, Technical Safety and the Environment. Solutions consisted of hardware, software and behavioural change.

After inspiring discussions a number of joint initiatives for progress was defined, which will hopefully become part of the ever growing relationship between the UAE and the Netherlands in the field of energy cooperation.
