Global Excellence, Local Performance

The Gulf State Region is the world's largest energy producer and offers the Dutch supply industry numerous opportunities. Dutch Energy Solutions: Global Excellence, Local Performance is an export programme that FME and IRO are setting up on behalf of the Ministry of Economic Affairs. The objective of the three-year programme is to enable Dutch suppliers in the oil, gas and power industries to obtain a greater market share in the Gulf by means of multi-year market cultivation.

The focus will be on Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. Other countries in the programme will include Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar and Oman.

The goals of the export programme are to:

1. increase the number of local market entrants (market modernisation);

2. increase the number of quality business contacts (market deepening);

3. increase the number of Dutch companies on vendor lists of EPC contractors;

4. facilitate economic diplomacy;

5. sharpen the profile of the Dutch oil and gas sector in the region.
